One killed, two injured in Udhampur mishap | KNO

Jammu, July 04 (KNO): One person was killed while two others sustained injuries in an accident in Udhampora district of Jammu area on Thursday afternoon. Official sources told KNO that accident took place at Sataini-Dohar area of the district when a speeding Alto car without number hit a tractor, resulting in on spot death to one person and left two others injured. Following the accident, the injured persons were rushed to a local hospital wherefrom one among them was shifted to district hospital Udhampur for specialized treatment. A police officer also confirmed the incident to KNO and said the identity of the deceased is being ascertained while the injured persons were identified as Sameer Ahmad (25) and Imtiyaz (24), both residents of Lowdara area of Bandipora. “A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations initiated in this regard, the officer said.
